Nicotine strength converter

See how much nicotine is in the liquid you vape each day, what the same amount of liquid holds at other strengths, and what strength a shortfill mix comes out at.

Pods are usually 2ml; bottles are 10ml.

This is the nicotine in the liquid, not the amount your body takes in, which depends on your device and how you vape. It isn't dosing advice: if you're planning to cut down, a pharmacist or your local Stop Smoking Service can help you plan it.

Shortfill mixer

Shortfills are nicotine-free liquid with space left in the bottle to add a nicotine shot. Work out the strength of the mix:

Shots are usually 10ml.

Usually 18 or 20 mg/ml.

Your mix: 60 ml at 3 mg/ml.

How much nicotine is in a 2ml 20mg pod?

A 2ml pod at 20 mg/ml holds 40 mg of nicotine in its liquid: 2ml × 20 mg per ml. That's the nicotine in the liquid, not the amount your body takes in, which depends on your device and how you vape. At 10 mg/ml, the same pod holds 20 mg.

What does 2% nicotine mean?

2% nicotine means 20 mg of nicotine in every ml of liquid, the highest strength allowed in the UK. To turn a percentage into mg/ml, multiply by 10: 1.8% is 18 mg/ml, 1% is 10 mg/ml and 0.3% is 3 mg/ml. The converter above does this for you.
