About QuitVaping
The UK's free, evidence-based home for getting off the vape, without going back to cigarettes.
Why we exist
About 5.5 million adults in Great Britain vape, and around 2 million of them have tried to stop. Most try alone: very few get help from a stop-smoking service or their GP, and some go back to cigarettes to get off the vape. We want to change that, with free tools and a step-by-step programme that help you stop vaping and stay smoke-free.
What we believe
- Smoke-free comes first. If vaping helped you stop smoking, that was the big win. Going back to cigarettes is the one move to avoid.
- No shame. A slip is a reset, not a failure.
- Evidence, not hype. Our health information is based on the NHS, NICE (guideline NG209), the National Centre for Smoking Cessation and Training (NCSCT), Cochrane reviews, Action on Smoking and Health (ASH) and the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), and is checked by named clinicians before we publish it.
- No promises we can't keep. We'll never say quitting is easy or guaranteed.
Who we are
[Founder name and a short, true biography, including any personal experience of stopping vaping or smoking.]
Our clinical reviewers are listed in our medical review policy.
How we're funded
Our core tools are free. We plan to fund the site by licensing our programme to councils, employers and schools, and later through advertising and an optional paid tier. We take no money from the vape, tobacco or nicotine-pouch industries, and we never advertise or link to vapes, e-liquids or nicotine pouches. Any paid link is labelled "Ad" next to it.
